This course deals with these new roles in the areas of politics, literature, economics, education, family... and the impact that this has had in the entire Spanish society.

CH3261 Modern Art and Architecture in Spanish Cities (3)
This course provides an introduction to modern architecture through the study of great buildings and city development in Spain, primarily in Barcelona and Madrid. The course is based on a framework of knowledge about the development of modern world architecture, focusing on outstanding architects and works from the last few decades of the 19th century to the present. Particular emphasis will be placed ont he works of Gaudi, Saenz de Oiza, Moneo and Calatrava, and other projects by famous European and American architects.
