The Italian Experience Program provides students with an opportunity to explore Italian language, culture, art, and cooking in the beautiful city of Florence. Classes will be taught by local instructors at Lorenzo de’ Medici - The Italian International Institute (LdM), located in central Florence. All students must enroll in one morning class. No prior knowledge of Italian is required. The afternoon studio art classes are encouraged but optional. All students will participate in the hands-on Friday Cooking Seminar. In this seminar, students will use local products to prepare a variety of traditional Italian dishes, and they will learn how food relates to the Italian lifestyle and culture. On the weekends, they will travel together on excursions to Rome and the Tuscan countryside.
